Content, Curation, and Community
StockTwits held the first-ever Cashtag Awards last night in NYC and I was honored to receive their “Person of the Year” award.

When people ask me about StockTwits, three words come to mind: content, curation, and community.
In an increasingly noisy world, finding good content that you can trust and learn from is everything. And in an increasingly anti-social social media world, community is more important than ever.
StockTwits brings together creative financial content from around the globe and curates to feature the most helpful and interesting posts of the day.
But what really makes StockTwits unique is the community it has built – with no tolerance for bad actors, a desire to help and educate others, all while having fun and not taking the markets too seriously.
Its Stocktoberfest events have become legendary, both in terms of content and the relationships you build. There is no substitute for face-to-face interaction with peers that you respect.
So thank you Howard and the team at StockTwits for building a community of which I’m proud to be a member. On a cold, rainy day in New York, I’m already looking forward to the next event, in beautiful Coronado.
